The right and wrongs of chasing draws at celeb pocker
Category: Poker
Chasing draws at celeb pocker is something which we are all inclined to do at some point.
Players at celebpocker may not like to be calling bets waiting for a card and rightly so. Every player would rather be sitting there holding the made hand already. But this is not the nature of poker. Often you have to call a raise or two to give yourself a chance of completing your hand, but this must be done with odds in mind.
You cannot for instance, profitably chase gutshot straight draws at www.celebpocker.com, in fact I personally hold barely any value in them at all. Four outs is simply not enough for me to go chasing a hand. At the other end of the spectrum, if you have an open ended straight flush draw on the flop, I would chase this hand in almost any circumstances.
This is because there are so many chances for you to make a big poker hand, that you simply have to continue in the pot. If you are raised and are considering calling, you also have to take into account the fact that your opponents aggression means you will likely win a significantly bigger pot if you make your hand. In general I would chase a flush draw for a reasonable sized bet, provided I still have the turn and river to try and hit it.
The same would apply for an open ended straight draw, although I am not as keen on these as flush draws. The only time you would find me calling raises with an inside straight draw in online poker is if I have a good pair or somthing to back it up also. If you have no back up with this type of draw, just lay it down if anyone raises in my opinion.
